Device status online/offline

This document explains the concept of device network status and how to obtain the device network status.

what is device status

The device’s status refers to whether the device has been connected to the IoT platform. If it is connected, it is online, and if it is not connected, it is offline. The device’s status does not indicate whether the device can be connected to the Internet, but cannot send any command to an offline device.

how to obtain device status

We need to develop an api and put it in the same program with the api for receiving device uploaded data. When the device’s status changes, such as online to offline, offline to online, our system will call this api to upload the current device’s status:

The sample code of this interface (including route) has been included in the sample api we provide, which you can refer to.

You need to apply for this function from us and provide the Host of your API program, excluding the subsequent route part. Which is the same that you write to the device for uploading data.
